As the current president of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1805, I am honored to celebrate the fifty year anniversary of Clark County Fire District Six.

In addition to the EMS Levy, the Local and its members have participated in several community related events. Each year the members work with an agency called Memory Makers, which is a foundation that helps ill children.  Specifically, the Local provides the medical support which allows the children to experience and enjoy the Clark County Fair with their families. The members have also supported the Salvation Army Food Drive , local smoke detector installations and the MDA Fire Fighter Fill the Boot program. 

Each year Local 1805 hosts “The Bob Allen Memorial Golf Tournament” which contributes all proceeds to the Oregon Burn Center .  The tournament was named in recognition of Fire Fighter/Paramedic Bob Allen, a Local 1805 member who died in January 2002.  

The success of the Firefighter’s union is due to our recognition and proactive stance on safety, fire fighter staffing, physical fitness, Labor/Management relations and support for their elected union leaders. Our members recognize that our wages, hours and working conditions are in place because of the commitment possessed by both our past and present Local members.
