I talked to Bill Quimby, my contact at The Oregon Burn Center the other day. He thanked us again for all we do for contributing to the summer burn camp program. He told me about a 13 year old girl who received several burns on her legs and went through the long, painful rehabilitation at the burn center. Physically, she recovered but will have dreadful scars the rest of her life. Not surprisingly, she exclusively wore pants to hide the scars. Then she went to burn camp. When she came back from burn camp for kids she decided to wear dresses again, not worry about things she can not change and be the person she wants to be. This camp has turned her life around. This is why each year the proceeds from the Bob Allen Memorial Golf Tournament help fund this camp. I hope we continue to seek each of our networks for hole sponsorships and prize donations. This certainly is a worthwhile cause
